Okay, look this is embarrassing.
I accidentally locked myself out of my email because I didn't renew my domain.
What happened is…I didn't pay for it.
And then I couldn’t log in and I was all ‘ahh fuck it, this is too hard, back to lining other peoples pockets’.
But..

I write for too many people to not write for myself.
And lately I've been doing as much strategy as I have copy.
So this newsletter is changing too.
I'm calling it The Accidental CMO cause that's what I've become. And weirdly, it's the position many of my clients find themselves in too.
They didn't plan to be responsible for growth, and yet now it's our problem.
And somehow now we're running ads to landing pages and they're not working. We're running reports on CRMs that are about as intuitive as Father Jack. We need to run a community, ascend people from low ticket to high ticket, get on webinars, live but make them evergreen for the digi prods. But now the bottom's fallen out of the high ticket business and someone's suggested a faceless YouTube channel.
Get the fuck out of here with that.
Before you do any of that, you need to know what's actually broken.
And most people don't.
So if you find yourself responsible for growth and marketing:
Whether you're a freelancer who occupies that position for others.
Maybe you're in a business and somehow marketing's made its way onto your desk (like it's an afterthought).
Or maybe you're a fellow marketer and you want to see what the hell I'm up to.
This one's for you.
And maybe you're thinking: "that's lovely Annabelle, but WIFM?" (cause we speak 90s marketing)
Well I'll be sharing snippets behind my strategy calls, my learnings, and I'll tell you in no uncertain terms what I fucked up.
That's what this is about.
And if you're like "ehhhh, this doesn't resonate" - I bless and release you.
And if you're into this, reply and tell me what would be useful.
Okay love you bye.
PS. This is coming from my Fresh Copy email cause I lost the old one. New address, same ol' me.
